Bridge

Bridge is the second in the Fallen Angels series of driftwood photographs that I began when I first moved up to the Kapiti Coast. I chose the series title to convey the sense of wonder these pieces of ordinary wood gave me when I came across them. Bathed in soft sunlight, often partly buried in the windblown sand, they appeared as to me as ancient treasures that had travelled across the sea from another time and place.
